Manage products

The product module offers you the possibility to manage your own products with different attributes in different categories.

With the associated special elements, such as product search and product catalogue, you can create search functions for your products and product overviews. Small online shops with the new "shopping cart" special element (currently in the BETA phase) are also possible.

This function is available in the following packages:

Manage products: Overview

Manage product attributes
Product attributes are used to assign properties or attributes to products. For example, a car has tires. In this example, the number of tires, seat heating, and paint color can then be an attribute. For example, for an airplane it would be the number of propellers, number of blades, number of tires, paint color.

Manage product categories
Products can be classified into product categories. In our example the category could be called "vehicle". You can then assign attributes to these product categories. You can also combine product categories. Assign the attributes "paint colour" and "number of tyres" to the category "vehicle". These attributes are relevant for both cars and aircraft.

In order to assign the attributes "number of blades" and "number of propellers", which cannot be assigned to a car, you can enter these attributes in the new product category "aircraft".

Manage products
After you have created product attributes and categories and assigned them to each other, you can create products. While product attributes and categories are only important for the structure of the product, real values are assigned here. You assign the product to one or more product categories.

Let’s assume we want to create a VW Beetle and a double-decker aircraft as a product.

The VW Beetle is then assigned to the product category Vehicle.
The double-decker is assigned to the categories "vehicle" and "aircraft". Now the double-decker receives the product attributes of both categories and you can define the values for the attributes accordingly.

Example: Double decker
Number of tyres: 3
Paint: Red
Number of propellers: 2
Number of blades: 4

Example: VW Beetle
Number of tyres: 4
Paint: Silver
