Import addresses

You can use the address import function to import address data records using a CSV file.

Address files
The import file must correspond to a predefined structure. In the description of the address list file you can download an example file via "Download".

Seperator
A CSV file is an Excel file that is saved as a text file whose fields are separated by a separator. The delimiter is variable, but Excel exports by default with the ";" delimiter. (semicolon). In cases where the ";" has been entered in the actual data, this character may change (example: "$").

In such cases, please enter the alternative separator yourself by hand. If you are unsure which delimiter is used, you can find out for yourself using a text editor (e.g. Notepad / Editor). Simply open the file in this editor and check which character is used there between the actual data.

Mode
The mode specifies what to do with the existing addresses in the list. If you select "Add", the new data is added to the address list file and the existing data is retained. If you select "Replace all", the existing data will first be deleted and then the address list data will be saved. If, for example, you have entered descriptions using FastEdit, you should either add the data or first compare the existing data with the new data by exporting the address lists.
