Manage downloads
Here you can upload files such as *.zip or *.pdf for download. The name given here also determines the display on the actual website. This form of download provision is (if included in the wisy package) linked to the statistics functions of wisy. This allows you to control, for example, how interesting a download is for visitors.
This function is available in the following packages:

Info: This type of download management has a crucial advantage: You can exchange downloads globally without having to check every single subpage. If you exchange the file in the backend, it will automatically exchange itself in the entire frontend. Of course, this applies to all other attributes as well.
Overview
Name
The name of the download is also displayed on the website.
File
The name of the physical file is displayed here.
Filesize
The file size of the file is displayed after the name with the file type on the website.
Searchable
Some PDFs can be searched by full text search. If the PDF is suitable, this will be displayed here.

Display name
Enter the name of the download that will be displayed on the website later.
Description
The description can be specified, e.g. to be displayed in the special element "Download Center" next to the download or to appear as a tooltip during a normal download.
File
Enter the file here. To do this, click on "Browse" and select the file on your computer. Then confirm with "Open".
If you are editing a download, you must first deactivate the "Keep" checkbox to be able to specify a new file.
Download group
In which download group/upload group should the download be displayed?
Make searchable
Enter here whether wisy should try to make the upload searchable. This only is sensible if the file is a PDF.
Create thumbnail
Here you can specify whether the new download should be displayed to other admin users or not.
